Admission Information

I. Students Categories

Chinese language students:the duration varies in one month, three months, six months or one year, two years. Semester begins in March or September every year. Students will be divided into different classes based ontheir Chinese levels.

Undergraduate students:the duration is four years. Semester begins in September every year (Programs are mainly organized by the Department of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, the Department of Civil Engineering. Please contact the responsible persons of the departments or staff of the International Office if you have further inquires. Details about the departments or programs, please refer to the university website: http://www.fjut.edu.cn

Research projects: research content, duration and approach are subject to the discussion results of both parties.

Exchange student program: subject to the specific cooperation agreements

II. Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements: All the applicants should be non-Chinese citizens aged above 18 with valid passports and in good health condition. He or she should be willing to obey the laws of Chinese government and be abide by the rules of our university, and respect Chinese customs. Besides,

⒈Chinese language students:

Students who are interested in applying this program should provide the academic proof of completion of senior high school or above. (equivalent to the level of six form)

2. Visiting Students

1) They should pass the relevant Chinese proficiency test organized by FJUT if they are applying without HSK results.

2) Recommendation letters from two Associated Professor(or with high professional titles) are required.

3. Undergraduate:

Applicants for undergraduate studies must completed senior high school and be under the age of 30.

Applicants should at least achieve elementary grade C in HSK test. Applicants for Chinese Literature and Chinese history programs must pass HSK medium grade C or higher.

They should pass the relevant Chinese proficiency test organized by FJUT if they are applying without HSK results.

III. Application and the Test

1. Undergraduate students:

Before April 30th of each year(Time for autumn semester students)

2. Chinese language students:

Applicants should submit the applications before November 30th for the next spring semester and submit the applications before April 30th for the autumn semester. ( Applicants will receive the notification whether the application study program will be held after December 15th or May 15th.)

3. Short-term program:

Fujian University of Technology is committed to working with the institutions of higher learning and education institutions in the world to carry out short-term training programs. Details of the rules such as subject arrangements, time and tuition fees are subject to the negotiation results of cooperative parties. Foreign institutions of higher learning and education institutions willing to cooperate are welcome to negotiate about the related details.

IV. How to Apply

1. Applicants can ask for the Application for Admission Form from International Office of Fujian University of Technology (or download it from our website)

2. Documents to submit to the International Office:

a) Filled application form for Study in Fujian University of Technology;

b) Passport, transcript and copy of the final degree(photocopies should be justified);

c) Health certificate and blood test report;

d) Six photos(five photos for short-term student)(passport photos);

3. The university will decide the acceptance of the applicants after receiving all the above-mentioned documents. Applicants will receive the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202). It takes at least eight weeks to send out the Admission Notice since the application has been handed in. During this period, we will contact you if there’s document missing. If all the required documents are submitted, we will start the review procedure ; if you pass the review, some necessary tests will be arranged. We will send out the Admission Notice as soon as possible to the accepted students. However, your e-mails may not be replied in time for some unpredictable reasons. The accepted students will receive the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) (Holders of the JW202 are supposed to apply for the Student Visa at the Chinese embassy in their home countries).

4. The admitted students should come to the International Office to check in with the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202); students who fail to get their visas on time should inform the International Office before.
